Matt O’Flaherty Chemists opened a second pharmacy on William Street in 1975, a third Pharmacy in Eyre Square in 1990 and a fourth Pharmacy in Moycullen in 2008. In 1995 Mr Matt O’Flaherty MPSI retired, but the business continues to be run by his family. Since then, Matt O’Flaherty Chemists has become a market leader in the greater Galway region and have added Barna and NUI to the group. As the only chain of scale in the area, the Group commands significant brand recognition from a wide customer base.
